Ryan, please feel free to use any of my comments in any way you would like. Also, my husband said to tell you that he liked your comment about playing a "mean electric triangle". He plays a mean tuba in our local town band. So if you'll play the triangle and sing, he'll accompany you on his tuba!
Ryan, welcome to Proud To Dairy! We are glad to have you. My husband and I love your columns in PD. We usually read them first before anything else and always get a kick out of them. My husband especially loved your last column about farm radios. He wouldn't consider milking without having the radio on. And our radio looks exactly like you described, covered in cobwebs, hung in the space between two barn beams, with a long bare piece of wire as an antenna. And in the fields, he has to have his radio headphones on. (We don't have any tractors with cabs, so none of our tractors are equipped with a radio.) He belts out the songs so loudly as he is doing the field work, often times we can hear him from the farmhouse porch! Thanks for such great articles in PD and we hope you will post some blogs on here, as well. We would love to read them. Keep up the good work!
