There's always something to be thankful for.

On Monday afternoon I witnessed the power of mother nature and the power of neighborhood farmers. In southeastern Wisconsin we had a tornado touch down. The tornado demolished a dairy farm about 6 miles from me. The destruction was unbelievable.

Within hours several neighbors had the cattle corralled, loaded on trailers and transported to a new home. Yesterday many of the same people cleared the trees that blew over at the farm, harvested the last 50 acres of corn and helped…

First of all I would like to introduce myself. My name is Tom Leonard. I have a wonderful wife Denise and a marvelous son Casey. We started our own farm in April of 2008. We borrowed alot of money for high priced cows to go along with the $20 milk. Thing are not so good for us now as it is with many across this nation.

On May 26th I found out about the Mercy for Animals investigation that took place at Conklin Dairy Cattle LLC. I watched the YouTube video as many of you have.…

That's understandable. When money is tough, paying a lot of money for pictures is difficult to swallow. They are nice pictures and they are only young once, but the memories you make in the barn together will be the most precious gift Casey will cherish. That's what makes agriculture so wonderful. Keep it up!
