“When we first came, a couple of contractors we had working on the dairy said, ‘You need to get into the coffee shops and hear what people are saying about the dairy,’”…

Hi Walt,
I was in the Progressive Dairyman magazine and stumbled across this. I work for a company called Artex Barn Solutions and I'm looking to connect with and follow some dairy blogs.
Thanks, Walt.
I was looking for other dairy blogs and Progressive Blogs always come up first in Google search.
I also contribute to the PD Extra Newsletter and Dairyhack
I did a Google search for "dairy blogs" and here I am!
Just surfing the net. I am learning (in greater depth) about the dairy industry now as i have joined a dignostics company which series the dairyman's needs to analyze blood, tissue, saliva, etc for purposes such as disease identification, pregnancy, etc.
In other words...I'm here to learn and listen!
We get the progressive dairyman and we enjoy reading it and so I thought I would your site.
Hi, and thanks for the welcome! I found you through Progressive Dairyman magazine…been meaning to see what it was about for ages, but like a lot of dairy farmers, my main reading time is when I get in from the barn at night and…zzzzzzz. Finally got around to joining. I'm a life-long dairy farmer and despite the nearly endless days, fluctuating prices, weather battles and aging body, I remain proud to dairy. The thought of alternatively having to work with people always makes me happy to hit the barn lights in the morning and see the girls!
I found the site through the Progressive Dairymen magazine, as well as when I was searching for contact information for someone and they were on this site. I am a field representative for a milk coop in NNY, I used to have my own dairy farm, but now I just take my son to Grammy and Pop's farm to see the cows. I have submitted numerous adorable and promoting pictures for the magazine to publish - but no luck yet :( hopefully one day I will open the magazine and find one of my pictures there!
Take care,
Heather
