Being born and raised on a dairy farm, I can honestly say I have a true passion for farming. I might complain and grumble in the mornings when I walk out the door to head to the barn in the snow and rain and every kind of weather imaginable, but I couldn't imagine a life without dairy cattle or farming. With so much negativity being raised about farming practices by 'animal rights activists' who are often clueless, it can be aggravating for farmers.

Here on the farm there is always something going on. I think we all can attest to that fact. While I am writing this, we have just survived the four days of a winter storm that brought the coldest, snowiest weather our area of Michigan has seen in more than 15 years.
