Cute babies and calves in western Pennsylvania

I've been working for Progressive Dairyman magazine for nearly 10 months now, and I'll admit to jumping at the chance to feature Pennsylvanians -- especially here on Proud to Dairy.

Here are two photos I've received from dairy families in western Pennsylvania, where I also call home. They were just too cute not to share!

Pictured above is Miss Makenna of Mercer, Pennsylvania. Her mother, Maggie, received a Proud to Dairy hat for being a lucky new fan of Progressive Dairyman's Facebook page. The hat drawing was part of Progressive Dairyman's June Dairy Month party. Maggie is a talented photographer in addition to being a mother and dairy farmer. Look for a similar photo of Makenna in the Proud to Dairy update section of the next issue of Progressive Dairyman magazine.

This photo is of sweet little Julia of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, meeting a calf on her family's farm. Her mother, Amanda, sent me the photo after seeing the entries in Contest 2010. You can look for this photo in the Table of Contents (pages 2 & 3) in an upcoming issue of Progressive Dairyman magazine.

Do you have a cute baby/child and calf photo? Post it and send me the link!
